Abstract
(EN) The present invention relates generally to the detection and identification of various forms of genetic markers, and various forms of proteins, which have the potential utility as diagnostic markers. By determining the level of a plurality of biomarkers and genetic markers in a patient sample, and combining the obtained values according to a predefined formula, it is possible to determine if it is likely that the patient suffers from prostate cancer or aggressive prostate cancer. The method is improved by distinguishing between genetic subpopulations with a particularly high risk for prostate cancer or aggressive prostate cancer.
(FR) La présente invention concerne de manière générale la détection et l'identification de diverses formes de marqueurs génétiques et de diverses formes de protéines qui présentent une potentielle utilité en tant que marqueurs diagnostiques. Par détermination du niveau d'une pluralité de marqueurs biologiques et de marqueurs génétiques dans un échantillon d'un patient, et par combinaison des valeurs obtenues selon une formule prédéfinie, il est possible de déterminer s'il est probable que le patient souffre d'un cancer de la prostate ou d'un cancer de la prostate agressif. Le procédé est amélioré de par la distinction entre des sous-populations génétiques présentant un risque particulièrement élevé de cancer de la prostate ou de cancer de la prostate agressif.
