Abstract:
(EN) The invention describes a cooling arrangement (1) for a generator (2) comprising a stationary armature (20) with an interior cavity (21) bounded by an armature front plate (20F), an armature back plate (20B) and a main shaft (24), which cooling arrangement (1) comprises a partition (10) arranged to separate the interior cavity (21) into an outer annular region (21_outer) adjacent to the armature (20) and an inner annular region (21_outer) surrounding the main shaft (24), and wherein the partition (10) comprises a number of heat exchanger units (11); and a fan assembly (12) arranged in the interior cavity (21) to force hot air (AF hot ) from the outer annular region (21_outer) through the heat exchanger units (11) of the partition (10) into the inner annular region (21_outer) and to expel cooled air (AF cool) from the inner annular region (21_outer) of the interior cavity (21). The invention further comprises a wind turbine (3) comprising such a cooling arrangement (1) for cooling a generator (2); and a method of cooling a generator (2).
