Abstract:
(EN) A control system, apparatus, and method integrates vehicle speed management and predicted gear shifting of a vehicle by determining current and future engine power requirements from the current and forward-looking route conditions to improve performance, drivability, and/or fuel economy of the vehicle over what is achievable through conventional gear state selection via static calibration tables and conventional shifting strategies. The selection of the vehicle reference speed is responsive to a gear selection to provide increased fuel economy, decreased trip time or combinations thereof.
(FR) Système, appareil et procédé de commande intégrant gestion de vitesse de véhicule et changement de vitesse prédit d'un véhicule par la détermination d'exigences de puissance de moteur actuelles et futures à partir des conditions d'itinéraire actuelles et prospectives afin d'améliorer les performances, la manœuvrabilité et/ou l'économie de carburant du véhicule par rapport à ce qui peut être obtenu par l'intermédiaire d'une sélection d'état de rapport classique par le biais de tables d'étalonnage fixes et de stratégies de changement de vitesse classiques. La sélection de la vitesse de référence de véhicule est sensible à une sélection de rapport pour permettre une économie de carburant accrue, un temps de déclenchement réduit ou des combinaisons de ceux-ci.
