Abstract:
(EN) The present invention provides a treated fiber having reduced hydrogen bonding capabilities, which may be useful in the production of tissue products having improved bulk and softness. The treated fiber comprises a water-insoluble inorganic compound that is generated in situ by reacting at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a silicate, a silyl, a silane, and an alkaline metal and a precipitation agent in the presence of the fiber at or above the critical fiber consistency. In the embodiment, the first reagent and precipitating agent are sodium silicate and hydrochloric respectively. The invention also provides a treated hardwood pulp fibre comprising hardwood pulp fiber and water insoluble inorganic selected from the group consisting of silicon, aluminium and zinc, wherein the said inorganic is retained by the fibers at about 2 kilograms per ton of fiber when the fiber is dispersed in water.
(FR) La présente invention porte sur une fibre traitée ayant des capacités de liaison à l'hydrogène réduites, qui peut servir dans la production de produits de tissu ayant un volume et une douceur améliorés. La fibre traitée comprend un composé inorganique insoluble dans l'eau qui est généré in situ par la réaction d'au moins un composé choisi dans le groupe constitué d'un silicate, d'un silyle, d'un silane et d'un métal alcalin et d'un agent de précipitation en présence de la fibre au niveau ou au-dessus de la cohérence de fibre critique. Dans le mode de réalisation, le premier réactif et l'agent de précipitation sont respectivement du silicate de sodium et de l'acide chlorhydrique. L'invention concerne également une fibre de pâte de feuillus traitée comprenant une fibre de pâte de feuillus et un inorganique insoluble dans l'eau choisi dans le groupe constitué du silicium, de l'aluminium et du zinc, ledit minéral étant retenu par les fibres à environ 2 kilogrammes par tonne de fibre lorsque la fibre est dispersée dans l'eau.
