Abstract:
(EN) According to the present disclosure, a method of producing a hydrated magnesium carbonate based cement composite (HMCs) is provided. The method comprising providing an aqueous solution comprising a hydration agent and hydrated magnesium carbonate seed particles; contacting the aqueous solution with a magnesium oxide based cement to form magnesium hydroxide from the hydration agent and the magnesium oxide based cement, and on the hydrated magnesium carbonate seed particles; and exposing the magnesium hydroxide to carbon dioxide to form the hydrated magnesium carbonate based cement composite. The use of hydration agent and seed particles not not only increases formation of HMCs but also improves the mechanical performance of RMC based concrete formulations.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'un composite de ciment à base de carbonate de magnésium hydraté (HMC). Le procédé comprend la fourniture d'une solution aqueuse comprenant un agent d'hydratation et des particules de germe de carbonate de magnésium hydraté ; la mise en contact de la solution aqueuse avec un ciment à base d'oxyde de magnésium pour former de l'hydroxyde de magnésium à partir de l'agent d'hydratation et du ciment à base d'oxyde de magnésium, et sur les particules de germe de carbonate de magnésium hydraté ; et l'exposition de l'hydroxyde de magnésium au dioxyde de carbone pour former le composite de ciment à base de carbonate de magnésium hydraté. L'utilisation d'un agent d'hydratation et de particules de germe non seulement augmente la formation de HMC mais améliore également les performances mécaniques des formulations de béton à base de RMC.
