Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a bipolar element having a zero-gap structure formed therein, where the positive pole and negative pole contact the partition film and the partition film is not susceptible to damage even after a long period of use. This bipolar element comprises an electrode containing a positive pole and a negative pole, a partition wall partitioning the negative electrode and the position electrode, and an outer frame along the edges of the partition wall. The present invention is characterized in that: in a cross section of a plane that is perpendicular to the partition wall and perpendicular to a predetermined direction along the partition wall, a distance a between the electrode and the partition wall is greatest at the center portion of the electrode; and a difference between the distance a at the center portion of the electrode and the distance a at the end edges of the electrode is 1.0 to 3.0mm.
