Abstract:
Provided are: a rolling component in which the formation of indentations is suppressed; and a bearing using the rolling component. An outer ring (10), an inner ring (11), and balls (12), which are rolling components, are made of bearing steel, have surfaces, and have a thickness of 10 mm or greater. The outer ring (10), the inner ring (11), and the balls (12) satisfy either a first condition or a second condition, the first condition requiring that compressive residual stress be 100 MPa or greater at a position where the depth from the surface is 0.5 mm, and the second condition requiring that compressive residual stress be 50 MPa or greater at a position where the depth from the surface is 0.3 mm. In addition, the bearing (1) is a deep groove ball bearing, and is provided with the outer ring (10) and the inner ring (11) as raceway members, and the balls (12) as a plurality of rolling bodies. The plurality of balls (12) come into contact with the outer ring (10) and the inner ring (11), and are disposed on a raceway having a circular ring shape.
