(EN) Provided is a liquid detergent composition containing components (a) and (b) below, and water, wherein component a) contains an alkyl or alkenyl sulfate in which the number of carbon atoms in the alkyl group or alkenyl group is C16-18, and the quantity contained is at least 0.03 in terms of mass ratio with respect to the content of component (a). According to this liquid detergent composition, cleaning performance when applied to oily residue from cooking is strong, foaming occurs rapidly in hand-washing and machine-washing, and rinsing can be performed easily. (a) a C12-18 anionic surfactant excluding fatty acids, (b) an amine oxide surfactant
