Title: PROCESS FOR RECOVERING THE PLATINUM AND COBALT CONTAINED IN A FUEL CELL
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for recovering the platinum and cobalt contained in a membrane electrode assembly (MEA), comprising at least the following successive steps: a) treating the MEA by leaching resulting in a leachate containing platinum ions and cobalt ions, b) extracting the platinum ions and cobalt ions from the leachate, c) separating the cobalt ions and platinum ions by formation and precipitation of cobalt oxide.
