Title: ULTRA-THIN FILM THERMISTORS
Abstract:
In a method (18) to produce a thermistor (1), a carrier film (2) is printed with a metallic ink (19), and the metallic ink (19) printed on the carrier film (2) is thermally treated such that the metallic ink (19) is converted into a conductor path (3). The metallic ink (19) has a platinum proportion of elementary platinum of at least 15% and a low-evaporating proportion of at least one low-evaporating substance (20) having an evaporation temperature of below 250 °C of at least 60%, wherein the sum of the platinum proportion and the low-evaporating proportion of the metallic ink (19) is at least 99.5%. The thermal treatment comprises sintering at 380 °C to 400 °C so that every low-evaporating substance (20) evaporates during sintering, and after sintering the conductor path (3) has a final proportion of elementary platinum of at least 99%. A thermistor (1) having a carrier film (2) which comprises a film layer thickness of at most 10 μm, and a conductor path (3) on the carrier film (2) comprising a final proportion of elementary platinum of at least 99 % can, for example, be produced using this method (18).
