Abstract:
(EN) According to an aspect, there is provided a communication apparatus comprising a wireless transceiver configured to communicate with a connected wireless device and a communication driver configured to control the wireless transceiver. The communication driver is configured to receive from an operating system of the communication apparatus a notification intended to be sent to the connected device via the wireless transceiver and to control, based on control data from the operating system, whether to block sending of the notification to the connected device via the wireless transceiver. The control at the communication driver level enables using settings applied at the operation system to affect how notifications are sent to connected devices instead of using connected device- specific applications to control sending of notifications to respective connected devices.
(FR) Selon un aspect, l'invention concerne un appareil de communication comprenant un émetteur-récepteur sans fil configuré pour communiquer avec un dispositif sans fil connecté et un pilote de communication configuré pour commander l'émetteur-récepteur sans fil. Le pilote de communication est configuré pour recevoir, depuis un système d'exploitation de l'appareil de communication, une notification destinée à être envoyée au dispositif connecté par l'intermédiaire de l'émetteur-récepteur sans fil et pour commander, sur la base de données de commande provenant du système d'exploitation, le blocage ou non de l'envoi de la notification au dispositif connecté par l'intermédiaire de l'émetteur-récepteur sans fil. La commande au niveau du pilote de communication permet d'utiliser des réglages appliqués au système d'exploitation pour influer sur la manière dont des notifications sont envoyées à des dispositifs connectés au lieu d'utiliser des applications spécifiques à un dispositif connecté pour commander l'envoi de notifications à des dispositifs connectés correspondants.
