Title: DIRECT CONTACT LIQUID COOLER
Abstract:
A direct contact liquid cooler comprises a cooler main body (100), a heat-exchange structure (110), and a circulating pump (120). A periphery of a connection opening of the cooler main body (100) fits with a power device (1) to seal a cooling cavity (101). The cooling cavity (101) of the cooler main body (100) and the heat-exchange structure (110) form a coolant circulation loop by means of the circulating pump (120). When the direct contact liquid cooler is operating, the coolant therein can be in direct contact with a heat dissipation surface of the power device to transfer heat from the heat dissipation surface. Compared with a method employing air having a small specific heat capacity to dissipate heat, the invention eliminates thermal contact resistance between a heat dissipation surface of a conventional power device and a heat dissipation plate of a cooler, thereby significantly enhancing heat transfer performance. Moreover, circulation of the coolant enables the heat-exchange structure to continuously transfer heat from a power device, thereby greatly improving heat dissipation efficiency of the power device. The direct contact liquid cooler enables a heat dissipation surface of a power device to have a uniform temperature, thereby increasing service life of the power device.
