An optical receiver (200), comprising: a photoelectric detector (201), a trans-impedance amplification circuit (202), a single end-differential converter (203), an I/O interface (204) and a controller (205). The photoelectric detector (201) is used to convert a received optical signal into a current signal, a bandwidth thereof being lower than a bandwidth requirement of system transmission; the trans-impedance amplification circuit (202) is used to receive the current signal and a first control signal, and to perform trans-impedance gain on the current signal according to the first control signal, so as to obtain a voltage signal, wherein a frequency response value of the current signal within a first bandwidth of which any frequency is no less than an upper cut-off frequency of the photoelectric detector (201) is higher than a frequency response value in a bandwidth of the photoelectric detector (201); the single end-differential converter (203) is used to convert the voltage signal into a differential voltage signal; the I/O interface (204) is used to output the differential voltage signal; the controller (205) is used to, according to the differential voltage signal, generate a second control signal used for controlling performing trans-impedance gain on the current signal. The optical receiver may achieve the aim of lowering cost while ensuring received signal quality.
