A display device 1 comprises: a light source 2 for outputting laser light L; a light-guide optical system 3 that forms a plurality of optical paths for the laser light L; an optical path switch element 4 for switching the optical path for the laser light L to any one of the plurality of optical paths; an optical member 5 that forms a single optical path toward the rear part of the plurality of optical paths; and a projection mirror 6 for scanning a screen S with the laser light L transmitted through the single optical path to form a projection image G projected on the screen S. The plurality of optical paths includes a low-luminance optical path M1 and a high-luminance optical path M2 which produce mutually different luminance for the laser light L. The optical path switch element 4 is arranged on an optical path between the light source 2 and the projection mirror 6. The display device includes a control unit 8 that controls the luminance of the projection image G by controlling the output of laser light L from the light source 2 and using the optical path switch element 4 to switch to a given optical path.

Un dispositif d'affichage 1 comprend : une source de lumière 2 permettant d'émettre une lumière laser L ; un système optique de guide de lumière 3 qui forme une pluralité de trajets optiques pour la lumière laser L ; un élément de commutation de trajet optique 4 permettant de commuter le trajet optique de la lumière laser L vers l'un quelconque de la pluralité de trajets optiques ; un élément optique 5 qui forme un trajet optique unique vers la partie arrière de la pluralité de trajets optiques ; et un miroir de projection 6 permettant de balayer un écran S avec la lumière laser L transmise à travers le trajet optique unique pour former une image de projection G projetée sur l'écran S. La pluralité de trajets optiques comprend un trajet optique de faible luminance M1 et un trajet optique de luminance élevée M2 qui produisent une luminance mutuellement différente pour la lumière laser L. L'élément de commutation de trajet optique 4 est agencé sur un trajet optique entre la source de lumière 2 et le miroir de projection 6.
