Abstract:
(EN) Techniques for providing high-resolution, standard-format output for line monitoring equipment (LME) (140) of a wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) communication system (100) is disclosed. LME (140) may transmit a plurality of LME test signals (λ1, 222) via an optical path (110, 120) of the WDM system (100) and perform gain measurements on reflections associated with the same at predetermined intervals. Gain measurements for each of the plurality of LME test signals ((λ1, 222) may be normalized and filtered to derive LME peak data. The WDM system may then output an LME results file (308) based on the above data and measurements.
(FR) L'invention concerne des techniques permettant de fournir une sortie de format standard à haute résolution pour un équipement de surveillance de ligne (LME) (140) d'un système de communication multiplexé par répartition en longueur d'onde (WDM). L'équipement LME (140) peut émettre une pluralité de signaux de test LME (λ1, 222) par l'intermédiaire d'un trajet optique (110, 120) du système WDM (100) et effectuer des mesures de gain sur des réflexions associées à ces derniers à des intervalles prédéterminés. Des mesures de gain pour chaque signal de test de la pluralité de signaux de test LME (λ1, 222) peuvent être normalisées et filtrées afin de déduire des données de crête LME. Le système WDM peut ensuite émettre en sortie un fichier de résultats LME (308) en fonction des données et des mesures précitées.
