An array substrate comprises multiple pixel groups (4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 9000) arranged along the column direction. Each of the multiple pixel groups (4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 9000) comprises multiple subpixel rows (4100, 5100, 6100, 7100, 9100). Each of the subpixel rows (4100, 5100, 6100, 7100, 9100) comprises multiple subpixels (440, 540, 640). A first light blocking strip (411, 511, 611, 711, 911) or a second light blocking strip (412, 512, 612, 712, 912) is disposed between each two adjacent subpixels (440, 540, 640), and the first light blocking strips (411, 511, 611, 711, 911) and the second light blocking strips (412, 512, 612, 712, 912) are disposed alternately. The first light blocking strip (411, 511, 611, 711, 911) has a first width. The second light blocking strip (412, 512, 612, 712, 912) has a second width. For each of the pixel groups (4000, 5000, 6000, 7000, 9000), a first light blocking strip (411, 511, 611, 711, 911) in at least one subpixel row (4100, 5100, 6100, 7100, 9100) is aligned with a second light blocking strip (412, 512, 612, 712, 912) in at least one different subpixel row (4100, 5100, 6100, 7100, 9100). Without decreasing the aperture ratio, The array substrate avoids pixel display brightness differences caused by small grayscale values.
