Abstract:
(EN) Embodiments in accordance with the present invention encompass compositions encompassing a procatalyst and a thermal or photoactivator along with one or more monomers which undergo vinyl addition polymerization when said composition is heated to a temperature from 50 °C to 100 °C to form a substantially transparent film. The monomers employed therein have a range of refractive index from 1.4 to 1.6 and thus these compositions can be tailored to form transparent films of varied refractive indices. Accordingly, compositions of this invention are useful in various opto-electronic applications, including as coatings, encapsulants, fillers, leveling agents, among others.
(FR) Selon des modes de réalisation de la présente invention, celle-ci concerne des compositions comprenant un procatalyseur et un activateur thermique ou un photo-activateur conjointement avec un ou plusieurs monomères qui subissent une polymérisation par addition de monomères vinyliques lorsque ladite composition est chauffée à une température de 50 °C à 100 °C pour former un film sensiblement transparent. Les monomères utilisés dans ces compositions présentent une plage d'indices de réfraction allant de 1,4 à 1,6 et, de ce fait, ces compositions peuvent être adaptées pour former des films transparents de différents indices de réfraction. Par conséquent, les compositions de cette invention sont utiles dans diverses applications optoélectroniques, y compris en tant que revêtements, agents d'encapsulation, charges, agents d'étalement, entre autres choses.
