Title: METHOD FOR CORRECTING MURA OF DISPLAY PANEL
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for correcting Mura of a display panel to achieve correction at the time of lighting the display panel, the method comprising: a first luminance measurement step of applying a current corresponding to a first reference gray to the display panel so as to light the display panel, and measuring a first measured luminance according thereto; a first gamma curve deriving step of measuring a luminance of a different gray close to the first reference gray, and deriving a first gamma curve with respect to a luminance change, on the basis of the first measured luminance; a first target gray deriving step of setting, as a first target luminance, an actual luminance corresponding to the first reference gray, and deriving a first target gray corresponding to the first target luminance in the first gamma curve; a second luminance measurement step of applying, to the display panel, a current corresponding to a second reference gray separate from the first reference gray so as to light the display panel, and measuring a second measured luminance according thereto; a second gamma curve deriving step of measuring a luminance of a different gray close to the second reference gray, and deriving a second gamma curve with respect to a luminance change, on the basis of the second measured luminance; a second target gray deriving step of setting, as a second target luminance, an actual luminance corresponding to the second reference gray, and deriving a second target gray corresponding to the second target luminance in the second gamma curve; and a correction value deriving step of deriving a correction value graph by using a first target gray value and a second target gray value which correspond to the first reference gray and the second reference gray, respectively, wherein when the display panel is lit using the correction value graph, a current corresponding to a corrected gray instead of a corresponding gray is applied to light the display panel.
