(EN) An analog-to-digital converter(ADC) and method of operation thereofare provided for converting an analog signal to a digital signal. The ADC utilizes Correlated Electron Material (CEM) devices that may contain a transition metal oxide (TMO), such as Nickel Oxide (NiO). The ADC mayinclude an interconnect circuit that is operable to couple a power supply to the CEM devices. The power supply is controlled to program the resistance of the CEM devicesand thereby control performance characteristics of the ADC.
(FR) L'invention concerne un convertisseur analogique-numérique (CAN) et son procédé de fonctionnement permettant de convertir un signal analogique en un signal numérique. Le CAN utilise des dispositifs à matériaux à corrélation électronique (CEM) qui peuvent contenir un oxyde de métal de transition (TMO), tel que de l'oxyde de nickel (NiO). Le CAN peut comprendre un circuit d'interconnexion qui a pour fonction de coupler une alimentation électrique aux dispositifs CEM. L'alimentation électrique est commandée pour programmer la résistance des dispositifs CEM et ainsi commander les caractéristiques de performance du CAN.
