Abstract:
(EN) The invention relates to a meteorological technique, and more specifically relates to a method for estimating a precipitation rate, which involves measuring, by means of a bipolar radar, the differential phase and the reflectivity of a radio wave, over a travel radius interval [r0, r1] where r0 and r1 are two points of the line of sight, where r0 coincides with a 0°C isotherm in the case of snowfall, and determining the value(s) of the adjustment parameter(s) of a model of an intercept parameter N0* in accordance with r and a condition being the value in r0 of the intercept parameter varying in accordance with the radius and the adjustment parameter(s), which minimise, in the travel radius interval [r0, r1], a deviation between the differential phase difference between r and r0 and a function of the reflectivity Z, the condition N0*(r0) and the adjustment parameter(s).
(FR) L'invention est relative à une technique météorologique, et concerne plus précisément un procédé d'estimation d'un taux de précipitations consistant à mesurer au moyen d'un radar bipolaire la phase différentielle et la réflectivité d'une onde radioélectrique, sur un intervalle de rayon de trajet [r0, r1] où r0 et r1 sont deux points de la ligne de visée, r0 coïncidant avec une isotherme 0°C dans le cas de précipitations neigeuses, et déterminer la ou des valeurs du ou des paramètres d'ajustement d'un modèle d'un paramètre d'interception N0* en fonction de r et une condition étant la valeur en r0 du paramètre d'interception variant en fonction du rayon et du (ou des) paramètre(s) d'ajustement, qui minimisent dans l'intervalle de rayon de trajet [r0, r1] un écart entre la différence de phase différentielle entre r et r0 et une fonction de la réflectivité Z, de la condition N0*(r0) et du (ou des) paramètre(s) d'ajustement.
