Disclosed are an Mn-Ga alloy and a magnetic hardening method therefor, belonging to the field of functional materials. The method includes: first obtaining an MnxGa (1.0 ≤ x ≤ 3.0) ingot casting by smelting; subjecting same to a heating treatment at a temperature of 400ºC-650ºC so as to obtain a tetragonal phase; and performing heat deformation on the tetragonal phase alloy block at a temperature of 300ºC-700ºC and a pressure of 30-800 MPa using a spark plasma sintering (SPS) device to obtain a manganese gallium alloy magnet having a relatively large coercivity. The Mn-Ga alloy magnet has relatively high residual magnetism, relatively large coercivity, and a relatively good magnetic energy product, and has application potential in the field of permanent magnetism.
