Abstract

A rearview assembly includes a housing having a front defining an opening. An external band extends laterally about a rear of the housing. A turn signal is defined in the external band. An electro-optic device includes a front substrate defining a first surface and a second surface. A rear substrate defines a third surface and a fourth surface. An electro-optic medium is disposed between the front substrate and the rear substrate. A peripheral seal contains the electro-optic medium between the front substrate and the rear substrate. An imager is adjacent the electro-optic device. A viewing window is disposed on an outboard corner of the electro-optic device. The imager is in optical communication with the viewing window.

La présente invention concerne un ensemble rétroviseur comprenant un logement ayant une partie avant définissant une ouverture. Une bande externe s'étend latéralement autour d'une partie arrière du logement. Un clignotant est défini dans la bande externe. Un dispositif électro-optique comprend un substrat avant définissant une première surface et une deuxième surface. Un substrat arrière définit une troisième surface et une quatrième surface. Un milieu électro-optique est placé entre le substrat avant et le substrat arrière. Un joint périphérique contient le milieu électro-optique entre le substrat avant et le substrat arrière. Un imageur est adjacent au dispositif électro-optique. Une fenêtre de visualisation est disposée sur un coin extérieur du dispositif électro-optique. L'imageur est en communication optique avec la fenêtre de visualisation.
