Title: DEVICE FOR RECOVERING CONCENTRATE ENERGY IN REVERSE OSMOSIS PLANTS
Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of reverse osmosis desalination of seawater and natural brackish water and can be used in the energy, chemical and food industries, and other fields of industry. A device for recovering concentrate energy comprises at least two feed chambers situated inside a single cylindrical housing and separated by a piston, and dynamic valves, at least two of which are intended for admitting/shutting off incoming flows of water, and at least two more of which are intended for admitting/shutting off outgoing flows of water. The feed chambers are arranged coaxially inside the pressure housing in the direction of travel of the separating piston. The separating piston is capable of moving along an axis which passes through the feed chambers. A sealing collar can be fastened to the side surface of the separating piston. The feed chambers can have a cylindrical shape, and the separating piston can be in the form of a cylindrical disc. The opening/closing of the dynamic valves is enabled by the kinetic energy of the flows of water entering the device. The technical result is a reduction in the amount of electrical energy spent on the reverse osmosis desalination of seawater, a simplification of the structural design of the device, an increase in the operating reliability of the device, and a reduction in expenditure relating to the manufacture of the device.
