A method and an apparatus for decoding an image using inter-picture prediction are disclosed. The method for decoding an image using inter-picture prediction comprises the steps of: receiving a bitstream; obtaining a part of information indicating a motion vector of a current block to be decoded in the received bitstream; obtaining the motion vector of the current block by using the obtained information to determine remaining information other than the part; and generating a prediction block of the current block through the inter-picture prediction using the motion vector of the current block. Therefore, the efficiency of encoding and decoding an image can be improved.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil de décodage d'une image à l'aide d'une prédiction inter-images. Le procédé de décodage d'une image à l'aide d'une prédiction inter-images comprend les étapes consistant à : recevoir un train de bits ; obtenir une partie d'informations indiquant un vecteur de mouvement d'un bloc courant à décoder dans le train de bits reçu ; obtenir le vecteur de mouvement du bloc courant par utilisation des informations obtenues pour déterminer des informations restantes autres que la partie ; et générer un bloc de prédiction du bloc courant par l'intermédiaire de la prédiction inter-images à l'aide du vecteur de mouvement du bloc courant. Ainsi, l'efficacité de codage et de décodage d'une image peut être améliorée.

화면 간 예측을 이용한 영상 복호화 방법 및 장치가 개시된다. 화면 간 예측을 이용한 영상 복호화 방법은, 비트스트림을 수신하는 단계, 수신된 비트스트림에서 복호화할 현재 블록의 움직임 벡터를 지시하는 정보 중 일부를 획득하는 단계, 획득된 정보를 이용하여 상기 일부를 제외한 나머지 정보를 결정함으로써 상기 현재 블록의 움직임 벡터를 획득하는 단계 및 상기 현재 블록의 움직임 벡터를 이용한 화면 간 예측을 통해 상기 현재 블록의 예측 블록을 생성하는 단계를 포함한다. 따라서, 영상 부호화 및 복호화의 효율을 향상시킬 수 있다.
