Abstract:
A robot cleaner according to the present invention comprises: a body including a driving unit for moving; a location identification unit disposed in the body to identify a location of the body; a storage unit for storing, in a map, an area which the body has cleaned while moving in the area, by the driving unit; and a control unit for controlling the driving unit, wherein when a return condition where the body is required to return to a charging stand is satisfied, the control unit determines whether a cleaning-completion area in a map stored in the store unit includes the charging stand, searches a non-cleaning area when the charging stand does not exist in the cleaning-completion area, and controls the driving unit to move the body from the current location to a point of a searched non-cleaning area or a point around the searched non-cleaning area.
