Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electrophotographic photoreceptor with which it is possible to suppress the occurrence of abnormality such as peeling-off or falling-off of a film from a substrate end in a surface layer deposition stage and to maintain and reproduce stable printing quality in a use stage after productization, and an image forming apparatus using same. An electrophotographic photoreceptor 1A is provided with a cylindrical substrate 20 having a chamfered face 20b between an outer circumferential substrate face 20a and a substrate end face 20c, and a surface layer 13 located on the outer circumferential surface. The outer circumferential substrate face 20a has a first rugged portion U, and the chamfered face 20b has a second rugged portion V and a third rugged portion W located on the surface of the second rugged portion V, the surface roughness Sa of the second rugged portion V being larger than the surface roughness Sa of the third rugged portion W.
