Title: SILICA PARTICLE DISPERSION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a dispersion containing high-purity silica particles and a method for producing the dispersion. [Solution] A first solution that contains a silane alkoxide and a second solution that contains microbubbles having an average bubble diameter of 40 nm to 10 μm are mixed, whereby the silane alkoxide is hydrolyzed without using an alkali catalyst in a liquid phase containing microbubbles, and uniform silica particles having an average particle size of 3-10 nm are produced. Furthermore, hydrolysis is carried out by adding a hydrolyzable metal compound to the dispersion containing silica particles in the presence of microbubbles and an alkali catalyst, the silica particles are grown, and a uniform silica particle dispersion having an average particle size of more than 10 nm and no more than 300 nm is produced.
