Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a highly active catalyst having a high yield, which produces a conjugated diolefin from a mixed gas that contains a molecular oxygen and a monoolefin having 4 or more carbon atoms by means of a catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation reaction; and a method for producing this catalyst. [Solution] A catalyst for producing a conjugated diolefin from a mixed gas, which contains a molecular oxygen and a monoolefin having 4 or more carbon atoms, by means of a catalytic oxidative dehydrogenation reaction. This catalyst is configured such that with respect to the a* value and the b* value of the catalytically active component in the L*a*b* color system, the value of saturation parameter E represented by the formula below is within the range of 16.1 ≤ E ≤ 32.0.
