Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to estimate the joint torque of a joint of a bicycle rider with a simple configuration. A joint-torque calculation system (10) includes a joint-torque calculation device (12), a detection unit (14), an input unit (16), and an output unit (18). The joint-torque calculation device (12) includes a data acquisition unit (122), a torque estimating unit (124), and a variation-amount estimating unit (126). The joint-torque calculation device (12) calculates, by using load data indicating the load applied to a pedal, skeletal data, and structure data, the amount of variation in the joint torque when the position of a saddle is changed and outputs the amount of variation to the output unit (18). The variation-amount estimating unit (126) also determines the position of the saddle at which the bicycle rider can fully express his/her potential from a plurality of estimated joint-torque variation amounts.
