Abstract:
In this sphygmomanometer, a sensing cuff (21) includes: a second sheet (21B) arranged facing an inner circumferential surface of a pressing member; and a first sheet (21A) facing the second sheet (21B). The sensing cuff is configured such that inner peripheral sections (21m) of the first sheet (21A) and the second sheet (21B) are closely adhered so as to form a bag shape. A CPU (100) as a fluid housing control unit supplies fluid, in a state in which a belt (2) is worn on a wrist as a site to be measured, until a state is reached in which the first sheet (21A) and the second sheet (21B) come in contact in a region (F1) corresponding to the ulna (94), a region (F5) corresponding to the radius (93), and a region (F3) corresponding to the tendon (96), and the first sheet (21A) and the second sheet (21B) separate from each other in regions (F4, F2) corresponding to the two arteries being the radial artery (91) and the ulnar artery (92).
