Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to the method of preparing microcrystalline cellulose based nanocomposites as adsorbents for water purification and related applications. The nanocomposite comprises an aggregated network of cellulose microcrystal and its derivatives templated 2-line iron oxyhydroxide. The granular nanocomposite acts as an active ingredient used for arsenic removal As(III) and As(V) from water with capacity greater than 98 mg/g, wherein the filtered water has an arsenic concentration below 10 parts per billion (ppb).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de préparation de nanocomposites à base de cellulose microcristalline en tant qu'adsorbants pour la purification de l'eau et des applications associées. Le nanocomposite comprend un réseau agrégé de microcristal de cellulose et de ses dérivés matricés d'oxyhydroxyde en 2 lignes de fer. Le nanocomposite granulaire agit en tant qu'ingrédient actif utilisé pour l'élimination de l'arsenic As(III) et As(V) présent dans de l'eau avec une capacité supérieure à 98 mg/g, l'eau filtrée ayant une concentration en arsenic inférieure à 10 parties par milliard (ppb).
