Abstract:
(EN) A system and method providing correlated color temperature-tunable (CCT- tunable) white light using a laser diode(s) in conjunction with a III-Nitride nanowires- based LED element grown on a semi-transparent substrate. The tunability spans across yellow, amber, and red wavelengths and can be implemented by current injection. The current-dependent broad wavelength tunability enables control of wide range of CCT values (intensity, peak wavelength, and spectral coverage). The broad coverage in the yellow-amber-red color regime mimics that of a passive yellow phosphor, while the injection of current into the LED element defines an active phosphor element. The semi- transparent active phosphor element allows direct transmission of light from a laser diode(s) for achieving extreme wide tunability of CCT.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système et un procédé fournissant une lumière blanche pouvant être accordée en température de couleur (CCT-accordable) corrélée à l'aide d'une diode laser (s) conjointement avec un élément à DEL à base de nanofils de nitrure III cultivé sur un substrat semi-transparent. L'accordabilité s'étend sur les longueurs d'onde jaune, ambre et rouge et peut être mise en œuvre par injection de courant. L'accordabilité de longueur d'onde large dépendante du courant permet de commander une large plage de valeurs CCT (intensité, longueur d'onde de pic et couverture spectrale) La couverture étendue dans le régime de couleur jaune-ambre-rouge imite celle d'un luminophore jaune passif, tandis que l'injection de courant dans l'élément à DEL définit un élément luminophore actif. L'élément de phosphore actif semi-transparent permet une transmission directe de lumière à partir d'une diode laser (s) pour obtenir une accordabilité très large de CCT.
