Abstract:
Provided in an embodiment of the present invention are a method for charging a battery and a charging device for performing the method, wherein a first charging mode is performed before a continuous turn-on time of an external charger exceeds a time threshold value, and the first charging mode keeps the battery at all times a high voltage charging state to make a user to perceive that the battery is always full; after the time threshold value is exceeded, a second charging mode is performed, and the second charging mode keeps the battery in a recharged mode after natural discharge, so as to prevent the battery from occurring the quality issues such as bulging due to a high voltage charging state lasting for a long period. In the method, a time-count time can be replaced by detecting the number of times of recharging, that is, when it is detected that the number of times of recharging reaches the threshold value of times in the first charging mode, it is switched to the second charging mode for charging. An embodiment of the present invention further provides a charging method capable of cooperating with a user interaction, including an interaction in which a charging mode can be selected, and prompting the user in the second charging mode by a charging identifier different from that of the first charging mode.
