Abstract:
A rotor assembly for a wind turbine (10) may include a rotor hub (104) having a mounting flange (114) that defines an array of hub bolt holes and a rotor shaft (106) having a shaft flange (116) that defines an array of shaft bolt holes. The array of shaft bolt holes may be at least one of circumferentially offset or radially offset from the array of hub bolt holes. The rotor assembly (100) may include a hub-to-shaft adapter (102) coupled between the mounting flange (114) and the shaft flange (116). The adapter (102) may define a first array of adapter bolt holes (140) and a second array of adapter bolt holes (142) offset from the first array of adapter bolt holes (140). The first array of adapter bolt holes (140) may be configured to be aligned with the array of hub bolt holes (124) defined in mounting flange (114) and the second array of adapter bolt holes (142) may be configured to be aligned with the array of shaft bolt holes (128) defined in shaft flange (116).
