Abstract:
An obstacle detection method and device, the method comprising: in a first matching area of a left view of a preset scene and a first matching area of a right view of the preset scene, respectively acquiring target first matching areas of a present obstacle (S101); performing matching with respect to a second matching area of the target first matching area of the left view and a second matching area of the target first matching area of the right view to obtain a first disparity map, wherein a size of the second matching area is less than a size of the first matching area (S102); and determining position information of the obstacle in the first disparity map (S103). The method can be used to increase the accuracy and efficiency of obstacle detection.
