Abstract:
(EN) A method including operating a high impact polystyrene (HIPS) reaction system having a devolatilizer downstream of a polymerization reactor, and from which a HIPS product is obtained, and injecting an antioxidant into the HIPS reaction system prior to the devolatilizer, with the antioxidant being one or more aromatic antioxidants. A HIPS product produced by operating a HIPS reaction system to produce a HIPS product, with the HIPS reaction system including a devolatilizer downstream of a polymerization reactor, and including injecting an antioxidant into the HIPS reaction system prior to the devolatilizer, with the antioxidant being comprising one or more aromatic antioxidants. The antioxidant may comprise at least one thiol group, at least one cresol group, or both. A system for producing the HIPS product is also provided.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé qui comprend la mise en œuvre d'un système réactionnel de polystyrène choc (PSC) ayant un dégazeur en aval d'un réacteur de polymérisation, et à partir duquel est obtenu un produit PSC, et l'injection d'un antioxydant dans le système réactionnel de PSC en amont du dégazeur, l'antioxydant étant un ou plusieurs antioxydants aromatiques. L'invention concerne également un produit de PSC obtenu par exécution d'un système réactionnel de PSC dans le but de produire un produit de PSC, le système réactionnel de PSC comprenant un dégazeur en aval d'un réacteur de polymérisation et comprenant l'injection d'un antioxydant dans le système réactionnel de PSC en amont du dégazeur, l'antioxydant comprenant un ou plusieurs antioxydants aromatiques. L'antioxydant peut comprendre au moins un groupe thiol, au moins un groupe crésol, ou les deux. L'invention concerne également un système destiné à la fabrication du produit de PSC.
