Abstract:
(EN) In an embodiment, an antenna subsystem includes a sparse receive antenna and an electronically steerable transmit antenna. The sparse receive antenna includes an array of receive elements each configured to receive a respective signal having a wavelength and each spaced apart from each adjacent one of the receive elements by a respective first distance that is more than one half of the wavelength. And the electronically steerable transmit antenna includes an array of transmit elements each configured to radiate a respective signal having the wavelength and each spaced apart from each adjacent one of the transmit elements by a respective second distance that is less than one half of the wavelength. To reduce aliasing, such an antenna subsystem can be operated to filter, spatially, a receive beam pattern generated by the receive antenna with a transmit beam pattern generated by the transmit antenna.
(FR) Un mode de réalisation de l'invention concerne un sous-système d'antennes comprenant une antenne de réception éparse et une antenne d'émission dirigeable électroniquement. L'antenne de réception éparse comprend un réseau d'éléments de réception conçus chacun pour recevoir un signal respectif possédant une longueur d'onde et chacun étant espacé de chaque élément adjacent parmi les éléments de réception selon une première distance respective supérieure à une moitié de la longueur d'onde. Et l'antenne d'émission orientable électroniquement comprend un réseau d'éléments d'émission conçus chacun pour rayonner un signal respectif possédant la longueur d'onde et chacun étant espacé de chaque élément adjacent parmi les éléments d'émission selon une seconde distance respective inférieure à une moitié de la longueur d'onde. Afin de réduire le repliement, ledit sous-système d'antennes peut être utilisé afin de filtrer spatialement un motif de faisceau de réception généré par l'antenne de réception à l'aide d'un motif de faisceau d'émission généré par l'antenne d'émission.
