Abstract:
(EN) A signal processing system is described for a bilateral hearing implant system having left side and right side hearing implants. An interaural coherence analysis module receives input signals from each hearing implant including sensing microphone signals and band pass signals, and analyzes the input signals to produce an interaural coherence signal output characterizing reverberation-related similarity of the input signals. A pulse timing and coding module for each hearing implant then processes the band pass signals to develop stimulation timing signals, wherein for one or more selected band pass signals, wherein the processing includes using an envelope gating function developed from the interaural coherence signal.
(FR) L'invention concerne un système de traitement de signal pour un système d'implant auditif bilatéral comprenant des implants auditifs côté gauche et côté droit. Selon l'invention, un module d'analyse de cohérence interauriculaire reçoit des signaux d'entrée provenant de chaque implant auditif et comprenant des signaux de microphone de détection et des signaux passe-bande, et analyse les signaux d'entrée pour produire une sortie de signal de cohérence interauriculaire caractérisant une similarité liée à la réverbération des signaux d'entrée. Un module de synchronisation et de codage d'impulsions pour chaque implant auditif traite ensuite les signaux passe-bande pour développer des signaux de synchronisation de stimulation, le traitement consistant, pour au moins un signal passe-bande sélectionné, à utiliser une fonction de déclenchement d'enveloppe développée à partir du signal de cohérence interauriculaire.
