Abstract:
(EN) In order to address the problem described in the specification, the present invention provides a method for improving contrast when a liquid crystal display element is configured to have high characteristics as a liquid crystal display element and a narrowed cell gap. The present invention provides a liquid crystal display element configured from: a first substrate having an electrode A formed thereon; a second substrate that is arranged so as to face the first substrate and that has an electrode B formed thereon; and a liquid crystal layer that is provided between the first substrate and the second substrate in a state in which voltage is not applied between the electrodes and that is oriented so as to be approximately perpendicular to the first substrate and the second substrate. The electrode A has a fishbone pattern comprising branched parts. The interval (S µm) between adjacent individual branches in the fishbone pattern and the inter-substrate distance (d µm) between the first substrate and the second substrate satisfy the relationship indicated in formula (1). Formula (1): (d – 0.6)/1.25 < S < (d + 1.1)/1.25.
(FR) Pour résoudre le problème susmentionné dans la description, la présente invention concerne un procédé d'amélioration du contraste lorsqu'un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides est conçu de manière à posséder des caractéristiques évoluées comme un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides et un espace cellulaire rétréci. La présente invention concerne également un élément d'affichage à cristaux liquides constitué : d'un premier substrat sur lequel est formée une électrode A ; d'un second substrat agencé face au premier et sur lequel est formée une électrode B ; et d'une couche de cristaux liquides disposée entre les premier et second substrats dans un état dans lequel aucune tension n'est appliquée entre les électrodes et orientée approximativement perpendiculairement aux premier et second substrats. L'électrode A présente un motif en arête de poisson comportant des parties ramifiées. L'intervalle (S µm) entre des ramifications individuelles adjacentes dans le motif en arête de poisson et la distance (d µm) entre les premier et second substrats satisfont la relation indiquée dans la formule (1).
