Abstract:
A video failure detection device (100) provided with: characteristic amount extraction units (102), (103), (104) which extract a plurality of characteristic amounts indicating characteristics of noise in a frame included in an input signal; a plurality of noise presence/absence identification units which determine the presence or absence of noise in a plurality of blocks in the frame with respect to each of outputs from the characteristic amount extraction units (102), (103), (104); and an integrated determination processing unit (111) which, on the basis of the outputs from the plurality of noise presence/absence identification units, determines the presence or absence of noise in the frame, wherein the integrated determination processing unit (111) comprises a weighting processing unit (400) which performs noise distribution density weighting processing on each of determination results outputted from the plurality of noise presence/absence identification units, a noise score calculation unit which outputs a total value obtained by totaling values obtained by the noise distribution density weighting processing, and a noise presence/absence determination unit which, on the basis of the total value, determines the presence or absence of noise in the frame.
