Abstract:
(EN) The invention concerns a method for gauging the liquid propellant tank (10) of a spacecraft during a phase of high-thrust along an axis (12), said tank being thermally conductive and having a known geometry. The method comprises steps of: attaching, on a wall (11) of the tank, a heating member (18) and at least one temperature sensor (191) in proximity to the heating member and in a plane of interest perpendicular to the thrust axis; during the high-thrust phase, heating the wall of the tank and acquiring temperature measurements of the wall of the tank at rapid frequency; determining the instant I when the temperature measured by the sensor changes, such change indicating the presence of the liquid-gas interface in the tank in the plane of interest; and determining the volume of liquid propellant present in the tank at instant I.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de jaugeage du réservoir à ergols liquides (10) d'un véhicule spatial pendant une phase de forte poussée selon un axe (12), ce réservoir étant thermiquement conducteur et de géométrie connue. Ce procédé comprend des étapes de : fixation, sur une paroi (11) du réservoir, d'un organe de chauffage (18) et d'au moins un capteur de température (191) à proximité de l'organe de chauffage et dans un plan d'intérêt perpendiculaire à l'axe de poussée; pendant la phase de forte poussée, chauffage de la paroi du réservoir et acquisitions à fréquence rapide de mesures de la température de la paroi du réservoir; détermination de l'instant I où la température mesurée par le capteur change, un tel changement étant indicatif de la présence de l'interface liquide-gaz dans le réservoir dans le plan d'intérêt; et détermination du volume d'ergols liquide présent dans le réservoir à l'instant I.
