Abstract:
(EN) A segmented birefringent chromatic beam shaping device (18)comprises at least three birefringent chromatic segments (22 to 25) arranged side by side in a pupil (31) of the beam shaping device (18). The birefringent chromatic segments (22 to 25) are essentially nλ waveplates at a first design wavelength. At a second design wavelength, the birefringent chromatic segments are essentially (m +1/2)λ waveplates. Each of the birefringent chromatic segments comprises a stack of birefringent elements including at least three chromatic birefringent elements (34 to 36). Orientations of fast axes (37 to 39) of each pair of directly consecutive chromatic birefringent elements of each of the birefringent chromatic segments differ by at least 5 deg. The at least three birefringent chromatic segments comprise same sequences of materials, thicknesses and orientations of their birefringent elements so that they only differ is their orientation sand, optionally, in their shapes in the pupil(31).
(FR) Un dispositif de mise en forme de faisceau chromatique (18) biréfringent segmenté comprend au moins trois segments chromatiques biréfringents disposés côte à côte dans une pupille (31) du dispositif de mise en forme de faisceau (18). Les segments chromatiques biréfringents (22 to 25) sont essentiellement des lames d'ondes nλ à une première longueur d'onde de conception. A une seconde longueur d'onde de conception, les segments chromatiques biréfringents sont essentiellement des lames d'ondes (m +1/2)λ. Chacun des segments chromatiques biréfringents comprend une pile d'éléments biréfringents comprenant au moins trois éléments biréfringents chromatiques. Des orientations d'axes rapides (37 39) de chaque paire d'éléments biréfringents chromatiques directement consécutifs de chacun des segments chromatiques biréfringents diffèrent d'au moins 5 degrés. Les trois segments chromatiques biréfringents comprennent les mêmes séquences de matériaux, d'épaisseurs et d'orientations de leurs éléments biréfringents de sorte qu'ils ne diffèrent que par leur sable d'orientation, éventuellement, dans leurs formes dans la pupille (31).
