Abstract:
Provided in the embodiments of the present invention are a wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) scanning method and a related product, the method comprising: after a mobile terminal is disconnected from a target access point, detecting whether the Wi-Fi chip of the mobile terminal has received the beacon frame sent by the target access point, and at the same time, performing Wi-Fi scanning according to a preset scanning frequency; if the Wi-Fi chip of the mobile terminal has not received the beacon frame sent by the target access point, continuing performing the Wi-Fi scanning according to the preset scanning frequency; and if the Wi-Fi chip of the mobile terminal has received the beacon frame sent by the target access point, initiating a Wi-Fi scanning mode. By means of the embodiments of the present invention, on the one hand, after the Wi-Fi is disconnected, the Wi-Fi chip performs the Wi-Fi scanning according to the preset scanning frequency, on the other hand, if the beacon frame of the target access point is received, the Wi-Fi scanning is forcibly performed. The Wi-Fi chip can perform rapid scanning without the need to wait for an entire scanning period, and therefore, Wi-Fi scanning efficiency can be improved.
