Disclosed is a method for improving smoothness of display of an image, comprising: detecting a current transmission frame rate of image data; and dynamically adjusting, according to the current transmission frame rate of the image data, data storing and reading rates in dual threads. is less affected, thereby avoiding occurrence of network packet loss. Moreover, the present invention detects a current transmission frame rate of image data and dynamically adjusts, according to the transmission frame rate of the image data, data storing and reading rates in dual threads, thereby improving smoothness of display of an image, reducing lag time, effectively solving problems of screen abnormality, long lag times and poor smoothness, and enhancing stability and compatibility of a system.
