Title: SOUND LEVEL METER-BASED MEASUREMENT WHILE DRILLING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR OBTAINING PROTODIKONOV'S HARDNESS COEFFICIENT OF ROCK OF TUNNEL ROOF
Abstract:
Provided is a sound level meter-based measurement while drilling device for obtaining a Protodikonov's hardness coefficient of a rock of a tunnel roof, characterized in comprising: a bearing type measurement while drilling device (1); an individual roof bolter (2); a sound level meter (3); and a drill pipe. The individual roof bolter (2) is vertically provided at a tunnel floor (6). A top portion of the individual roof bolter (2) is provided with the bearing type measurement while drilling device (1) drilling through a tunnel roof (5) by means of a graduated drill pipe (4). The bearing type measurement while drilling device (1) is connected to the sound level meter (3) by means of a connection wire (12). Also provided is a method using the above device to acquire a Protodikonov's hardness coefficient. The method compares decibel values of in-situ sound levels measured when drilling a rock of a tunnel roof to quickly obtain Protodikonov's hardness coefficients within a range of a hole drilled in the tunnel roof. The method transforms hazardous noise into a useful sound source in a perforation process, thereby realizing a measurement while drilling technique. The above device and method are applicable to measurement while drilling operations for obtaining Protodikonov's hardness coefficients of typical sedimentary rocks, such as coal measure strata including sandstone, shale and mudstone. The present invention can be used conveniently on site, can be operated easily, has low labor intensity, and does not affect normal production.
