Title: TORQUE TRANSMISSION CONTROL DEVICE
Abstract:
A torque transmission control device comprises a worm shaft (8), a helical surface component (7) having a gear structure thereon and being capable of selectively rotating about the shaft, two helical surface guides (6, 9), two planetary gear carriers (2, 12), two brake sets, and a casing (5). The helical surface components (7) each have a helical guide and a planetary gear carrier on two sides thereof. A brake pad set is installed on the helical guide (7) and the planetary gear carrier. When the helical surface component (7) driven by the worm shaft (8) rotates about an axis, as a result of restraint by the helical guides (6, 9) on the two sides, the rotation of the helical surface component (7) about the axis generates precessional motion in an axial direction, further pushing the brake pad to move in an axial direction, compressing a brake pad set such that the corresponding planetary gear is braked. Meanwhile, the brake pad set on the other side is disengaged, allowing the planetary gear carrier on that side to rotate. The device is structurally compact and eliminates a synchronizer, such that impacts by the synchronizer in the torque transmission control process do not need to be considered.
