Title: RING ARTIFACT CORRECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a ring artifact correction method and apparatus; polar coordinate transformation, related total variation processing, median extraction, iterative correction, and the like are used to perform iterative ring artifact correction; in particular, edge protection smoothing of the image is performed using related total variation to obtain a detailed and an artifact image, used for ring artifact correction; an iterative correction method is used to extract ring artifacts continuously, thus achieving the result of image ring artifact correction. In the course of removing ring artifacts, the present application does not damage the details of an original image and does not reduce image resolution, and the treatment process is simple; in addition, in the present application, extraction is performed on ring artifacts only in the image domain, therefore its processing is completely compatible with processes used in clinical settings. Thus the invention is more suited to clinical applications.
