Abstract:
(EN) The present disclosure is in the field of gastric resident systems. A device for extended retention in a stomach is provided. The device includes: first, second, and third arms, the second and third arms being pivotally connected to respective ends of the first arm. The device is configured to transform between a compressed configuration and an expanded configuration. The device further includes a biasing member configured to bias the device into the expanded configuration whereby the second and third arms are configured to mechanically engage each other to retain the system in the expanded configuration.
(FR) La présente invention s'inscrit dans le domaine des systèmes résidant dans l'estomac. L'invention concerne un dispositif destiné à une rétention prolongée dans un estomac. Le dispositif comprend : des premier, deuxième et troisième bras, les deuxième et troisième bras étant reliés en pivotement à des extrémités respectives du premier bras. Le dispositif est conçu pour passer d'une configuration comprimée à une configuration étendue, et inversement. Le dispositif comprend en outre un élément de sollicitation conçu pour solliciter le dispositif dans la configuration étendue, les deuxième et troisième bras étant ainsi conçus pour venir en prise mécaniquement l'un avec l'autre pour retenir le système dans la configuration étendue.
