Abstract:
(EN) CuO-ZrO2 catalysts may be prepared by a process which includes contacting a solution of a copper salt and a zirconyl salt with a solution of an alkali hydroxide to form a reaction mixture, wherein the contacting produces a precipitate; maintaining the reaction mixture at a temperature of about 0 °C to about 60 °C and at a pH of about 6 to about 12; filtering the reaction mixture to collect the precipitate; drying the precipitate at about 75 °C to about 150 °C; and calcining the precipitate at about 300 °C to about 800 °C. The CuO-ZrO2 catalysts are useful for the hydrogenation of dimethyl oxalate to prepare ethylene glycol.
(FR) Les catalyseurs CuO-ZrO2 peuvent être préparés par un procédé qui comprend la mise en contact d'une solution d'un sel de cuivre et d'un sel de zirconyle avec une solution d'un hydroxyde alcalin pour former un mélange réactionnel, la mise en contact produisant un précipité; le maintien du mélange réactionnel à une température d'environ 0 °C à environ 60°C et à un pH d'environ 6 à environ 12; la filtration de mélange réactionnel pour collecter le précipité; le séchage de précipité à environ 75°C à environ 150°C; et la calcination du précipité à environ 300°C à environ 800°C.
