Abstract:
(EN) The patterns of usage, participation, and/or item sharing by the participants in a conference call are correlated, recognized, and used to select a data centers. This selection can be done both before and/or during a call. When significant patterns are recognized (e.g., heavy video sharing by one participant at every Friday afternoon meeting) there may be a better (e.g., faster, better quality, more efficient, less use of network resources) data center to host the call than one that is selected based on the geography of the participants alone. Likewise, during a call, other patterns of behavior can be correlated and recognized dynamically such that when these patterns occur, the call is hosted by a different (i.e., better) data center.
(FR) Selon l'invention, les schémas d'utilisation, de participation et/ou de partage d'éléments par les participants à une téléconférence sont corrélés, reconnus et utilisés pour sélectionner un centre de données. Cette sélection peut être effectuée aussi bien avant que pendant un appel. Lorsque des schémas significatifs sont reconnus (p. ex. un fort partage de vidéos par un participant à chaque réunion du vendredi après-midi), il peut exister un meilleur centre de données (p. ex. plus rapide, de meilleure qualité, plus efficient, utilisant moins de ressources de réseau) pour héberger l'appel que celui qui est sélectionné uniquement d'après la géographie des participants.
